I am suprized, that this thread is still empty. Why you select the CL500 and not other scramblers?
For myself:
-Either other scramblers got not enough power (Royal Enfield) or to much (Ducati).
-Honda is well known good quality producer
-price performance ratio for me the best at the CL500
-design and light offroad usability
-low cost in operating ( yearly tax 36 Euro, insurance only 76 Euro/year, low on gas and services)
-2 Cylinder watercooled, for me better then a 1 cylinder engine (more vibrations)
-Characteristics: good torque from low rpm, great settings from Honda.
Triumph will bring out 2024 the new scrambler x 400, I still would prefer the Honda CL500.
